June Birthstone

June: Pearl. Moonstone, Alexandrite

June's Birthstone is traditionally Pearls, a delicate gem, found in the sea and formed in layers over time in marine oysters and freshwater mussels. Each one is unique, with the freshwater pearls in my store all having a shape of their own (don't worry, I still get a pair to match for earrings!)

Moonstone is a modern birthstone, milky white and luminescent, and gets its name from its appearance. It has mystical properties, with some having a rainbow glow - they are certainly a gemstone worth seeing!

Lastly, we have Alexandrite, which is new to my store this year, and that I want to use more! A gem with colour-changing properties that change depending on the light, it can appear one colour in daylight and completely different at night and in artificial light. I currently have an ever growing range of Alexandrite Cubic Zirconia - A delicate lavender which echoes Pantone's colour of the year for 2022, Very Peri.
