These look great worn as singles, but also layered up with other bangles from my store - they all look great together.

Please note that the design of these are a little more fragile than they look and although they are hammered and tumbled to make them as tough as possible they may end up out of shape by forcing them over a hand that's too big for them, or if they get caught somewhere they shouldn't: Please treat them with care to ensure a long, perfectly circle life for them!

How to measure:
Bangle size is worked out by the size of your hand, not your wrist.

Tighten your hand as if you are putting on a bangle and measure the widest part of your hand near the knuckles. The best way to do this is to make your thumb touch your little finger while squeezing your other fingers together. Measure around your hand to get the circumference then choose a bangle that is bigger than that measurement. Always roundup for bangle size as forcing them over a larger hand will mean that they will end up out of shape.

Materials

All items are made from Sterling Silver. Items are hallmarked in accordance with The Hallmarking Law 1973. I am registered at Edinburgh Assay Office and all items over a weight of 7.78g bear my makers mark as well as those required by law.
Gemstones: I use a range of Genuine and Lab-Created/Synthetic stones in my work to suit all budgets. Each listing will confirm the stones content so that you are sure of what you are purchasing.
What is a lab Gemstone? A lab gemstone is a stone 'grown' in a lab rather than the earth. They have the same geological makeup as genuine stones but none of the faults. This means they have amazing clarity and colour, but at a much lower price point than the authentic stones.
Gemstone Ethics: I buy from reputable gemstone suppliers that have strict ethics policies in place. If you have concerns on any stones provenance, please get in touch for more info.
Environmental policy: I avoid waste where I can. All unused Silver is melted down to allow me to reuse it.  Jewellery creation uses a lot of chemicals - where I can use environmentally friendly choices.
Packaging: My packaging is fully recyclable - I use cardboard boxes and small aluminium tins for many of my products. The tins can be reused for the storage of jewellery (or other small items!) when travelling/swimming etc, but these can be recycled if not required by placing in the household cans recycling.

Do you ship internationally?

At present I only ship to the UK via my website, however, international customers can still purchase through my Etsy shop here : www.maramjewellery.etsy.com

(If you don't see what you want to buy, message me and I can pop it onto Etsy for you!)

 Returns

I'm hoping you will be 100% happy with any purchases made but if you're not, please contact me within five working days of receiving your purchase so that I can try to resolve it. If you wish to return the purchase for a full refund (including original p&p), it must be returned unused and in any original packaging. Please advise you are returning before posting. Return postage is the buyer's responsibility.
Additional note: Made to measure, or custom items are not normally refundable unless faulty. I will usually email a picture of any custom item to ensure you are satisfied before posting. Please contact me if you are unhappy on receipt so that we can come to an arrangement.

For hygiene reasons, earrings for pierced ears cannot be refunded unless faulty. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Items occasionally go missing in the post. Please contact me after 31 days if you have not received your package.

Payment Methods:

I accept most major credits cards and Paypal

Jewellery Care:

Please take care of your items to ensure a long life for them. It is not recommended that they are immersed in water or get in contact with chemicals such as perfume, hairspray or household cleaners; this will tarnish them and dull the colour. Some of my items are delicate by design, please treat them delicately too.
Cleaning- use of a silver polishing cloth recommended. Please do not use any liquid cleaners on any pieces containing stones as it may damage them.

Eco Policy

A round up of all the changes I'm making to maram jewellery to be as sustainable and eco friendly as I can.

🌿PACKAGING

My jewellery is supplied either in a small tin or jewellery box

Tins: Paper/Tissue lining using recycled materials. Tin is intended to be reused by the customer as a container for holding jewellery on the go (eg when you remove it at work, swimming, gym etc) or as a holder for small items. Tins are aluminium, a metal that can be recycled over and  over with less energy than other metals so when it is no longer useful, add it to your metal recycling with your other tins.

Boxes: Made from Eco friendly paper and card. Currently have foam inners that can't be recycled but once current stock is used I will move over to a new eco friendly alternative.

Pillow Boxes - Recycled Card & Tissue

🍃MAILING:

ALL parts are recyclable with some made from recycled materials, including the paper tape. All compostable except paper post label that can be put in household paper recycling.

I use Royal Mail to ship, the lowest reported carbon footprint per parcel delivery in the UK. You can find out more here: https://www.royalmail.com/sustainability

🌿MATERIALS

Most of my metal is 100% eco friendly and recycled. I save all scrap metal to return to be melted down and reused again.

Gemstones: I strive to choose the best quality, sustainable and ethical gems as I can and use suppliers who can provide traceability and transparency to their procedures and gems. My preferred suppliers source stones from workshops and factories they have visited, and have confidence those employed are treated fairly. If in doubt, I don't purchase so you may sometimes see gems out of stock.
You may see that I now work with a growing range of man made stones such as Cubic Zirconia and Lab Gemstones. These are kinder to the environment as they are not mined from the ground and are generally easier to trace through the manufacture process too.

🍃WORKSHOP

A jewellers studio is full of chemicals and tools and can be a messy and hazardous place. I've always chosen the eco friendliest choice as my workshop is at home and needs to be safe! Most of my chemicals have been replaced with more environmentally friendly choices- always happy to discuss, and if you are a fellow jeweller feel free to get in touch so we can share ideas - always so much for me to learn!

My polish is eco friendly and vegan, and I use cotton mops rather than leather to clean and polish my work.

Scrap metal is saved and recycled.

🌍 ETHICS

I periodically review my materials, sources and suppliers to ensure materials are provided as ethically as possible. I do not purchase any supplies or gems from known conflict areas, this is constantly reviewed and updated as necessary.
